It is a nutritional powerhouse for your skin of over 100 beneficial nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants including cold-pressed sea buckthorn, rosehip, açai and blackcurrant oils which contain an abundance of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, carotenoids, and generous levels of vitamins C. It also contains trans-retinoic acid - a natural form of Vitamin A which helps target the aged-related breakdown of your skin.

Unlike many mass-produced moisturisers and serums, it is completely free from any harsh chemical preservatives, mineral oil (petrochemicals) or other artificial chemical elements. Many of these ingredients can deliver superficial results but over time they can affect your skin by stripping away the natural fatty acid lipids in your face which form part of your skin's protective barrier and leave it looking and feeling dry and irritated.

Quite simply, our skin is not designed to be exposed to these heavily processed elements in every product that we use, day after day. In the same way that we are all more aware that eating highly processed foods is not good for our health and wellbeing, there is growing understanding that the same principle applies to what we put on our skin.

One other very important element to consider is your diet. We found with our daughter Coraline that what you eat is so important and by eliminating or reducing dairy and gluten intake for example, chronic skin conditions can often reduce or disappear very quickly.

Sea Buckthorn Fruit Oil:

Contains over 100 nutrients, and the levels of Vitamin C are at least 10 times higher than that of an orange. This makes it a highly effective oil to help support the production of collagen to reduce water loss and wrinkles. Provitamin A's beta carotene content naturally helps to heal dry skin and inflammation.

Rosehip Fruit Oil:

Highly nourishing and packed full of therapeutic and beneficial properties. It contains trans-retinoic acid – a natural form of Vitamin A which can help to reduce redness, dryness and aged-related breakdown of your skin. Vitamins E and C help to nourish skin cells and protect against oxidation.

Açai Seed Oil:

A highly moisturising oil filled with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, it is rich in a variety of vitamins including B, C and E. It is also rich in anthocyanins and flavonoids, and helps support the production of collagen.

Blackcurrant Seed Oil:

An important source of vitamin C. It is also one of very few oils high in gamma-Linolenic acid (GLA) which is easily absorbed by the skin and can be highly effective in calming and repairing dry and sensitive skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Passion Seed Oil:

Rich in Linoleic acid, which is an essential fatty acid and a key building block to produce ceramides. Ceramides help to form a protective barrier for your skin and are one of the skin's main moisturising components to help keep it soft and smooth. As we age, ceramide levels dramatically decrease, especially during winter.

Apply morning and night by massaging 1-2 pumps into cleansed, damp skin using your fingertips. Best applied immediately after your morning shower and before bed. It feels so good that it's easy to get into a routine fast.

For best cleansing results we recommend using one of our Organic Soap Bars or our Luminous Lavender oil cleansing balm.

To enhance and maximise absorption and hydration for your skin, use our 'Botanical Balance calming tonic spray to mist your face first. This really helps to boost moisture levels and brighten your skin.

It can also be used alongside our Immortelle Everlasting Radiance Facial Balm

Top Tip:

To create a natural, luxurious and preservative free 'in hand' moisturiser simply spritz our 'Botanical Balance' calming facial tonic 2-3 times into your hand, add 1-2 pumps of the facial oil and apply to your face and neck. Massage gently and mindfully into your skin to deliver instant happiness.

Please keep the facial oil out of direct sunlight or extreme heat to protect and preserve its beneficial properties.

Allergy Advice:

All of our products are 100% natural but occasionally people may have unknown allergies or sensitivities to oils, waxes or botanicals. Do not use if you are sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients in this product. We recommend to patch test on a small area of your body before first use (leave on for 24 hours).

Miron glass - with glass pipette.

Miron glass naturally protects and enhances the beneficial properties within our products and extends their shelf life. It's like an antioxidant glass; what you put in it is enhanced which means it quickly improves and deepens in aroma.

Miron glass is perfect for re-use at home to store a large range of products. It is also easy to recycle.

We have done all that we can to not use any plastic in our packaging but for the Miron glass bottles it is only possible to use a plastic spray attachment, which in this case is polypropylene. The plastic lid or spray attachment are both reusable and recyclable. This is the only plastic that we use anywhere in our entire range of products.

All boxes and labels are printed using recycled or FSC recyclable paper and card, and eco-toners which are not harmful to the planet.

There is so much to love about Coraline products, their ethos is second to none and if I had to have one Desert Island product of theirs it would be this facial oil . I’d wear a hat/palm leaf to keep the sun off and know that my skin at least was safe !
