SOS Recovery is a restorative and fast-absorbing facial oil which is designed to deeply nourish, hydrate, and repair your skin to leave it looking, and feeling, happy and radiant.
It is made using a blend of the finest cold-pressed oils. These include pomegranate, baobab and borage seed oils which provide a wide range of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and other skin-soothing elements for your skin. It also contains amaranth oil, which has the highest percentage of natural plant-based squalene of any oil and is extremely important for our skin as it ages.

Ideal for sensitive, dry and damaged skin SOS Recovery gently soothes away redness and dryness, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Day after day we believe you will notice an improvement in how your skin looks and feels.
Unlike many mass-produced moisturisers and serums, it is also completely free from any harsh chemical preservatives, mineral oil (petrochemicals) or other artificial chemical elements. Many of these ingredients can deliver superficial results but over time they can affect your skin by stripping away the natural fatty acid lipids in your face which form part of your skin's protective barrier and leave it looking and feeling dry and irritated.
Our skin is not designed to be exposed to these heavily processed elements in every product that we use, day after day. In the same way that we are all more aware that eating highly processed foods is not good for our health and wellbeing, there is growing understanding that the same principle applies to what we put on our skin.
SOS Recovery can be used in place of a moisturiser by combining it with our Botanical Balance calming tonic to create a simple yet indulgent experience for your face. For more information on this, please see below in 'How to Use'.
One other very important element to consider is your diet. We found with our daughter Coraline that what you eat is so important and by eliminating or reducing dairy and gluten intake for example, chronic skin conditions can often reduce or disappear very quickly.

Amaranth Seed Oil:
Quite simply an oil that our skin cannot do without as we age. It has around 4-5% squalene content, a hugely important lipid which is naturally produced by our skin to lock moisture in, keep our skin soft and to prevent dry skin and fine lines. It starts to slow down its production in our mid to late 20s, so it is key to replace what is lost. Squalene is able to stimulate and support collagen production and helps to maintain firmer skin. Not to be confused with squalane which is a processed form of natural squalene.
Pomegranate Seed Oil:
An elegant, rich, and regenerating oil containing the unique punicic acid (omega 5), it is a highly nutritious fatty acid for the skin which is able to balance pH and condition the skin's surface. It has impressive anti-inflammatory properties and can help stimulate collagen production to increase skin elasticity. It is an especially beneficial oil for mature complexions. It is also effective at repairing sun and weather damage.
Baobab Seed Oil:
Perfectly suited to dry and delicate skin, especially in mature complexions, it is particularly soothing and calming for troublesome skin conditions such as acne and rosacea and can help to repair weather damaged skin. Contains a wide array of vitamins and phytonutrients including vitamins A, D and E, and it has impressive toning and moisturising properties to deliver a wide range of benefits to the skin.
Sacha Inchi Seed Oil:
As a single oil, it can be massively beneficial for the care of inflamed, dry, and mature complexions, and contains almost 50% of the rare alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) which is necessary for healthy skin. Our bodies can’t produce it, so adding the oil to our skin provides invaluable assistance in helping to moisturise and condition our skin.
Borage Flower Seed Oil:
Has the highest content of gamma linolenic acid (GLA) of any oil. This high GLA content can help to regenerate and rejuvenate our skin’s barrier function, and to decrease moisture loss. It also contains high levels of linoleic acid which can help to prevent wrinkles, dry skin, and premature ageing, whilst ellagic acid supports the production of collagen and regenerates skin cells. Ferulic acid protects and soothes sun and weather damaged skin, and tannins help to calm redness and minimise pore size.

Apply morning and night by massaging 1-2 pumps drops into cleansed, damp skin using your fingertips. Best applied immediately after your morning shower and before bed. It feels so good that it's easy to get into a routine fast.
For best cleansing results we recommend using one of our Organic Soap Bars or our Luminous Lavender oil cleansing balm.
To enhance and maximise absorption and hydration for your skin, use our 'Botanical Balance calming tonic spray to mist your face first. This really helps to boost moisture levels and brighten your skin.
It can also be used alongside our Immortelle Everlasting Radiance Facial Balm
Top Tip:
To create a natural, luxurious, and preservative free 'in hand' moisturiser simply spritz our 'Botanical Balance' calming facial tonic 2-3 times into your hand, add 1-2 pumps drops of the facial oil and apply to your face and neck. Massage gently and mindfully into your skin to deliver instant happiness.

Please keep the facial oil out of direct sunlight or extreme heat to protect and preserve its beneficial properties.
Allergy Advice:
All our products are 100% natural but occasionally people may have unknown allergies or sensitivities to oils, waxes or botanicals. Do not use if you are sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients in this product. We recommend to patch test on a small area of your body before first use (leave on for 24 hours).
Miron glass - with glass pipette.
Miron glass naturally protects and enhances the beneficial properties within our products and extends their shelf life. It's like an antioxidant glass; what you put in it is enhanced which means it quickly improves and deepens in aroma.
Miron glass is perfect for re-use at home to store a large range of products. It is also easy to recycle.
We have done all that we can to not use any plastic in our packaging but for the Miron glass bottles it is only possible to use a plastic spray attachment, which in this case is polypropylene. The plastic lid or spray attachment are both reusable and recyclable. This is the only plastic that we use anywhere in our entire range of products.
All boxes and labels are printed using recycled or FSC recyclable paper and card, and eco-toners which are not harmful to the planet.

We have a 28 day policy on our returns once we have dispatched our soaps. We will accept returns on any unused products, providing they are in their original condition and packaging of sale during this period. You will be responsible for paying for any costs to return the goods to us in their original condition.
